CNY Treats

Had a late start today but we were on a roll afterwards~!
Visited four houses; my 1st aunt, 3rd aunt, 4th aunt and maternal grandmother's place
Chinese New Year visiting is always happy for the children, but not the parents, lol~
The children get to receive and keep all the red packets but the parents have to give them out to other people's children XD
That's what I love about CNY, and being a child, and single of course!
But then again, CNY is a hazard to the health...
Every house you go to, the first thing that the host will do is serve you soft drinks and cookies
Even if you refuse, the offer is very tempting!
And the weather is really hot, so you need a cold drink anyway
The cookies... they vary from house to house, so you feel like testing them out
It's a losing battle, really... but you can minimize it by taking the less sugar drinks and cut down on the cookies!
But who am I to say, right?
Went to my aunt's (father's sister) house yesterday and she really spoiled us
There was the lunch and after that the wide array of cookies and then Korean strawberries and mini tangerines and last but not least, delicious Secret Recipe cakes!!!
I took the Lemon Cheesecake and it was... bliss~ *nom nom nom*
Anyway, going house-visiting with friends tomorrow!
